Dr. Kuna graduated from Creighton University with a major in Chemistry. He obtained his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and his residency in anesthesiology at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center where he served as a Chief Resident. His outstanding performance is regularly recognized with awards including Physician of the Year at Carroll Hospital. Dr. Kuna provides exceptional leadership to CCAA and Carroll Hospital at the executive level; he serves on the Board of Trustees for Carroll Hospital and the Carroll Hospital Foundation.
Executive Vice-President
Dr. Tabak graduated from Lafayette College with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Maryland where he served as a Chief Resident. Dr. Tabak's administrative acumen and leadership have been invaluable to CCAA's workflow and daily operations over the past twenty-six years.
Vice-President
Dr. Brock majored in Microbiology at Colorado State University. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his residency in anesthesiology at The Ohio State University. Dr. Brock has a wealth of experience and he has provided stability and leadership to CCAA over the past twenty-two years.
Dr. Kottra majored in Medical Technology at the University of Colorado. He obtained his medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific where he was inducted into the national osteopathic medicine honors society, Sigma Sigma Phi. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. His twenty-three years of practice include serving on active duty as an anesthesiologist at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. He has practiced at CCAA for the past fifteen years.
Dr. Eclavea majored in Biology at Niagra University. She obtained her medical degree from St. George’s School of Medicine, completing her residency in anesthesiology at the University of South Florida. She has a vast amount of clinical expertise and has practiced as an anesthesiologist for over the last sixteen years at CCAA.
Dr. Hobbs graduated magna cum laude from Washington College with a major in Psychology and a concentration in Neuroscience. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Maryland where she also completed her residency in anesthesiology and served as a Chief Resident. She completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Maryland and is board certified in this subspecialty. She has practiced as an anesthesiologist at CCAA for almost six years.
Dr. Crutchley double-majored in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has numerous academic awards and accomplishments including induction into the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He has practiced as an anesthesiologist at CCAA for almost six years.
Dr. Mumuni majored in Electrical Engineering at Clarkson University. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed her residency in Anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine. She has numerous academic awards and recently obtained her MBA from George Washington University. She is new to the CCAA, but she has practiced as an anesthesiologist for almost eight years.
Dr. Detore majored in Microbiology from the University of Maryland. He has performed research at the National Institute of Health and has several publications in the field of immunology. He graduated near the top of his class from the Wake Forest School of Medicine where he was inducted into the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed a residency in anesthesiology from Johns Hopkins. Dr. Detore brings almost two decades of clinical experience to CCAA.

Master Health Science in Anesthesia, 1993 LaRoche College, St Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center Nurse Anesthesia; Completed CRNA training, 1995 University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; MBA 2007 Loyola University; BS in Biology, 1990 Youngstown State University; AAS Nursing, 1983, Youngstown State University. Bill has 26 years of providing anesthesia and has been a CRNA at Carroll Hospital since 2003. While at Carroll Hospital, he has served on the Medical Executive Committee as member-at- large and is currently Treasurer and on Bylaws Committee. Bill enjoys scuba diving, has been an Iron Man finisher and is a private pilot student.
Graduated from Charleston Area Medical Center School of Nurse Anesthesia 1988. Worked at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore 1988-1997, and has been at Carroll since 1997. She is married with 2 children, with her daughter following in her footsteps as a CRNA! She enjoys the outdoors, beach, reading and family.
MSN in Nurse Anesthesia 1990 at Benedictine University; BSN Temple University; Janet has been a CRNA for 31 years and has been providing anesthesia at CCAA for 13 years. She is a volunteer scuba diver at the National Aquarium and is a major outdoor sports enthusiast.
Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia Cum Laude, 2012 University of Maryland School of Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing Cum Laude, 1988 University of Maryland School of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau member. Amy has been providing anesthesia since 2013. She joined CCAA 5 years ago and now serves on the Narcotics Diversion Committee. She is married with 3 children and is “Gia” to 2 very amazing granddaughters!
Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia, 2015 Georgetown University; Clinical Nurse Leader, 2010 University of Maryland School of Nursing; BA degree Political Science, 2005 Gettysburg College; Joe has been providing anesthesia since 2015 starting at Johns Hopkins Hospital 2015-2017, Anesthesia contractor 2017-2020 Baltimore/Washington area, and joined CCAA March 2020. Joe is married with 2 children and enjoys photography and hiking.
RN since 1985 with experience in PACU, ED, & ICU. Earned her Master of Science Summa Cum Laude in Nursing Anesthesia, 2009 University of Maryland School of Nursing. She has 3 years of experience serving in a critical access hospital to an underserved population and has been at CCAA collectively for 7 years most recently rejoining the team in 2020. She has been a CRNA for 12 years. Ann is an international traveler and baker.
Master of Science Nurse Anesthesia, 2010 University of Maryland School of Nursing; BSN 2001, Johns Hopkins School of Nursing; BA in Biology, 1996 Wittenberg University;. She has provided anesthesia since 2011, working at Franklin Square Hospital for 3 years, Kaiser Permanente for 6 years, and started with CCAA July 2020. Carrie is married with 2 children, and proudly claims title of shortest Rugby player ever!
Master of Science, Nurse Anesthesia 2018, York College of Pennsylvania; BSN, 2010 York College of Pennsylvania. She worked as an RN at WellSpan York Hospital OR and in the Trauma Surgical ICU. Upon receiving her CRNA, Erin worked at Peninsula Regional before coming to Carroll Hospital where she joined us in 2020 and serves as CCAA’s Obstetrical Liaison. She lives with her husband Andrew, and son in Sykesville. She loves spending time outdoors and with their dog Teddy.
Anesthesia Support Technician
She has worked at Carroll for 14 years, previously in Environmental Services throughout the hospital and transferred to OR 12 years ago and trained in anesthesia. She has been a valuable member of our team for 4 years. She also had earned a Certificate in Real Estate Appraising and Phlebotomy.
